The ENT Department at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital will be organizing the
2nd Singapore Facial Fracture and Soft Tissue Reconstruction Fresh
Frozen Cadaveric Dissection Course from 6 to 9 December 2015.
This intensive course builds on the very successful and well-received
course that we conducted last year. It offers an excellent hands-on
opportunity for Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery and
Maxillofacial Surgery Residents and Fellows to expand their knowledge
and surgical skills in the management of facial fractures and soft tissue
injuries and defects
The organizing committee has arranged an outstanding faculty from
USA, Europe and Asia to share their extensive knowledge, skill and
experience during the course. The teachers of honour for the course
include internationally renowned Facial Plastic Surgeon Prof Shan R.
Baker (USA), and Maxillo-facial Surgeon Prof Edward Ellis (USA). The
participants will also benefit from the wealth of experience offered by
our outstanding multidisciplinary national faculty.
The first day of course consists of didactic lectures covering the common
problems encountered in facial reconstruction. The next three days will
be dedicated to surgical dissection to impart exhaustive practical
training in all aspects of facial reconstruction. The laboratory portion of
the course will be limited to 20 Dissectors to allow for close and
personal contact between the faculty and the participants.
