Robert D. Christensen, MD is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division Chief of Neonatology and Division of Hematology/Oncology.

Dr. Christensen received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, he completed his Pediatric residency at Stanford University Hospital and his Neonatology and Hematology fellowships at the University of Utah. He was Chief of the Division of Human Development and Aging at the University until 1993 when he was appointed Chief of the Division of Neonatology at the University of Florida. After 9 years he was appointed Lewis A. Barness Professor and Chairman of Pediatrics at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, and Physician-in-Chief of All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.
