Rebecca Lee Johnson MD

Dr. Rebecca L. Johnson, M.D., conducts research in regional and obstetric anesthesia. She is an anesthesiologist with fellowship training in both regional anesthesia and clinical research. Currently, her research focuses on surgical and anesthesia-related outcomes of major hip and knee surgery. Dr. Johnson's research efforts include gathering the evidence on anesthesia interventions for major orthopedic surgery in order to implement ideal processes for anesthesia and surgical health care delivery. As medical care becomes more complex and the costs of care alternatives receive increased national attention, patient-centered dissemination and implementation research may provide important methods to guide perioperative health care delivery.
