Dr. Taylor earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Taylor completed both his internship and residency in family medicine at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He attended Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, FL . Here he completed his primary care sports medicine fellowship. Dr. Taylor has served as the team physician for the University of South Florida volleyball team and Eckerd College athletics. Currently, he serves as a ringside physician for USA boxing and professional boxing and mixed martial arts events. He is a team physician for Houston Baptist University, as well as Finish Line Medical Captain for the Houston Marathon.

He provides medical coverage for high school and community sporting events. Dr. Taylor found his way into medicine through a combination of a strong interest in science and a love of sports. His diverse background includes providing inpatient, outpatient and battlefield medical care as a staff physician to soldiers, their families and veterans during his military service. While on active duty, Dr. Taylor completed a combat tour in Iraq supporting Operation New Dawn. He was also the medical director for the Warrior Transition Battalion at Ft. Campbell, KY. Dr. Taylor was honorably discharged at the rank of Major from the United States Army.
