Raja Sawhney, MD, MFA, FACS, is board-certified in otolaryngology and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Sawhney earned a Master of Fine Arts in medical and biological illustration at the University of Michigan prior to finishing his medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit. He completed his residency in otolaryngology at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit. He then completed a fellowship in facial plastics and reconstructive surgery with renowned surgeon Dr. Yadro Ducic in Fort Worth. At the University of Florida Health, Dr. Sawhney serves on the Facial Trauma Committee and the Clinical Competency Committee for the UF College of Medicine. He also acts as a faculty mentor and a faculty advisor for the UF Medical Student ENT Interest Group.

In addition to practicing at UF Health, Dr. Sawhney serves on the Microvascular Committee for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is teaching faculty for AO Craniomaxillofacial, a preeminent international trauma organization. He is also a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, AO North American/AO Craniomaxillofacial, the Florida Society of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Florida Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and the Florida Medical Association. His clinical interests include facial trauma and head and neck cancer reconstruction, free tissue transfer, functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, Mohs defect reconstruction, and facial reanimation.
