Paolo Lanzetta

Prof. Paolo Lanzetta is the Founder and Scientific Responsible of the European Institute of Ocular Microsurgery - IEMO, a center of clinical excellence at the service of patients. He is currently Director of the Ophthalmology Clinic of the University of Udine. The main areas of interest of Prof. Lanzetta are laser applications in ophthalmology, diagnosis and treatment of vitreous-retinal diseases and cataract surgery. Prof. Lanzetta is actively involved in clinical research activities on retinal diseases and is currently the principal investigator in many international multicenter studies on new therapies and drug delivery methods for the treatment of maculopathies and other retinal diseases. He has extensive experience in cataract and retinal surgery and is a pioneer in the pharmacological treatment of retinal diseases. He has attended international conferences with hundreds of scientific reports and is a member of numerous scientific societies, including the Macula Society. He is also the author of numerous scientific articles and texts.
