Dr. Martin Hopp is the medical director of the Cedars-Sinai Sinus Center and an otolaryngologist at the Head and Neck Cancer Center and the Division of Otolaryngology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Martin Hopp is a pioneer in sinus surgery. He was the first surgeon in the Western United States to perform Image Guided (computer) Sinus Surgery, generally accepted as the safest technique for sinus repair. Dr. Hopp is a leader in the field of balloon sinuplasty, the tissue-sparing, minimally invasive surgical option for treating chronic sinusitis. Dr. Martin Hopp is a course lecturer and teacher of the technique throughout the United States.
Dr. Martin Hopp’s research interests include computer-directed and other sinus surgery techniques, obstructive sleep apnea surgery, chemical carcinogenesis, and chemotherapy for head and neck tumors.
A much sought-after speaker, Dr. Martin Hopp lectures across the country on sinus disease and sinus surgery. Dr. Hopp has authored many articles and book chapters on these and other subjects in peer-reviewed publications such as Archives of Otolaryngology, Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Laryngoscope, and others.
In 2006, Dr. Martin Hopp received the prestigious Honor Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery for distinguished service in Scientific Programs, Exhibits, Instructional Courses, including the Chairmanship of the Sleep Disorders Committee.
