OVERVIEW

2025 Eerie ENT Cases is organized by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and will be held on Nov 01, 2025.

Description:
The Eerie ENT Cases conference offers participants a unique one-day learning experience that sets aside perfection momentarily in favor of openly discussing adverse outcomes and near misses in otolaryngology. Within a supportive learning environment, expert faculty will guide attendees through the exploration of some of the scariest ENT cases and will participate on panels for in-depth discussion. In addition to content that focuses on adverse events and near misses, the course will close with an award ceremony for the scariest photo and scariest video. Dont be afraid to admit that errors and near misses happen! Together, we can learn from these cases by applying the recommendations and solutions that will avoid adverse events or offer insight into managing them more effectively should they arise.

Objectives:

  • Discuss complex ENT cases in an environment that empowers learning from shared experiences
  • Identify issues that may contribute to adverse outcomes or patient safety risks and employ strategies to avoid them in practice
  • Explore the clinical approaches to prevention and management of patients presenting with ENT disorders
