Dr. Cooper is Professor of Medicine at Temple University School of Medicine and Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Temple Heart & Vascular Institute in Philadelphia, PA. He earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency, a cardiology fellowship, and a cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Dr. Cooper specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, including those that occur in normal hearts, inherited arrhythmia syndromes, congenital heart disease, and various cardiomyopathies. He has expertise in performing all types of pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, including biventricular and subcutaneous devices, laser lead extraction, as well as complex ablation procedures for atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and other arrhythmias.

Dr. Cooper's primary clinical passion is patient education and patient satisfaction. His research interests include new ablation technologies, predicting arrhythmia risks in patients with systemic conditions, optimizing implanted device programming, and improving the safety and success of lead extraction procedures.
