OVERVIEW
CVI's 7th Annual EP/Arrhythmia Management Update is organized by Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) Philadelphia and will be held on Feb 11, 2018 at Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event Cardiologists, electrophysiologists, primary care, emergency, family practice, internal and geriatric medicine physicians, fellows, residents, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, EP Lab staff and certified medical assistants who participate in the care of patients with arrhythmias, cardiac rhythm disorders and cardiovascular disease. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 7.0 CME/CEU Credits.
Course Description :
This Course is focuses on updates in electrophysiology of which everyone in clinical practice should be aware to provide outstanding care and improve outcomes for patients with arrhythmias and various electrophysiologic syndromes. Our program focuses on:AF lessons learned from ablation, detecting and developing effective anticoagulation strategies for Silent AF, managing the post AF ablation patient, historical perspectives on heart rhythm management, leadless pacing, His bundle pacing, and recognizing and fixing device malfunctions. Our program includes a comprehensive interactive ECG interpretation session featuring a panel of our expert faculty.
Learning Objectives :
• Describe how ablation has advanced knowledge and recognition of AF mechanisms
• Compare and contrast mechanisms of persistent vs. paroxysmal atrial fibrillation
• Recognize the prevalence and clinical significance of Silent AF
• Develop appropriate treatment strategies for anticoagulation in patients with silent AF
• Describe various pharmacologic treatments of the post AF ablation patient
• Recognize potentially serious complications which may follow AF ablation
• Appropriately incorporate ambulatory monitoring in ongoing management of the post AF ablation patient
• Discuss advances in Cardiac Rhythm Management
• Recognize the role of programmed electrical stimulation in determining mechanisms of arrhythmia
• Effectively diagnose bradyarrhythmias
• Effectively diagnose tachyarrhythmias
• Appropriately identify patients who might benefit from a leadless pacemaker
• Recognize the risks of leadless pacemaker implantation
• Appropriately identify patients who might benefit from His-bundle pacing
• Recognize the risks of His-bundle pacing
• Recognize patient symptoms or signs which might suggest device malfunction
• Identify electrocardiographic findings that might suggest device malfunction
Physicians the opportunity to receive up to 6.5 MOC Points from the ABIM.** Awarding of MOC points requires additional attestation, post program evaluation and test questions. (7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits * 7.0 Category 2A Credits AOA).
