The Cardiovascular Institute of Philadelphia, founded in 1998 to serve the Delaware Valley community, is a 501(c)3 medical, non-profit research foundation that works in partnership with regional hospitals, universities and private medical practices. The CVI organizes heart health awareness education programs for patients, their families and the general public that promote a better understanding of what we all can do to adopt healthier lifestyles as well as explore paths to treatment if necessary. Likewise, CVI offers a diverse catalogue of accredited continuing medical education programs for physicians and allied healthcare professionals, offering convenient access to the most up-to-date information on the causes, detection, treatment and – most importantly – the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
CVI works to achieve the goals and objectives of its mission by organizing community based education programs to promote cardiovascular risk factor awareness for patients, their families and the general public. Additionally, CVI offers continuing medical education opportunities to physicians and allied healthcare professionals to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information on the detection, diagnosis, treatment and most importantly - the prevention of cardiovascular disease and other concomitant conditions.
Mission:
