Lead Management 2018: The Pursuit of Efficiency, Safety and Excellence is organized by Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education and will be held on May 09, 2018 at The Westin Boston Waterfront, Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is Cardiac Electrophysiologists, Infectious Disease Specialists and Allied Health Specialists (NPs, Nurses, and PAs). This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 2.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Course Description:
This program is designed to provide the learner with the most up to date knowledge on transvenous lead extraction, approaches to minimize device-related infections, and information on best practices, new techniques, technologies and guidelines to minimize and manage lead extraction complications. The program will feature case-based presentations and interactive panel discussions.

Conference Objectives are :
• Discuss the indications and techniques for lead extraction based on the 2017 consensus guidelines
• Critically review the best practices to prevent device infections and lead complications and describe their use in clinical practice
• Summarize the issues associated with extraction or lead abandonment, and list the most common infectious pathologies encountered with lead extraction
• Present a critical appraisal of the most recent devices, their features, and expected outcomes as well as concerns of potential adverse events
