Dr. Jonathan Vigdorchik is Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery specializing in reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee, including joint replacement surgery. He has subspecialty expertise in Joint Preservation Surgery of the Hip, young adult hip surgery, hip arthroscopy, pelvic and hip osteotomy including the Bernese Periacetabular Osteotomy (PAO), surgical hip dislocation, hip resurfacing, hip and knee replacement in the young, active patient, unicompartmental knee replacement, and revision total joint arthroplasty.

He has presented the results of his research at numerous national and international meetings, published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and continues to teach fellows, residents, and medical students at the NYU School of Medicine.

Dr. Vigdorchik graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance. He earned his Medical Doctoral degree with honors at the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Medicine and then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency education at the Detroit Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident.

He continued to specialize in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Surgery by completing a fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, and finished his training in open and arthroscopic hip preservation surgery during an International Traveling Fellowship at Harvard University, Italy, Belgium, and Switzerland, the birthplace of modern hip surgery, under the developers of the Bernese Periacetabular Osteotomy and Surgical Hip Dislocation.
