Jinny Orathai Tavee MD

Jinny Tavee, MD, has joined National Jewish Health as the Chief of the Division of Neurology, where she will lead a multidisciplinary team that diagnoses and treats complex neuromuscular diseases and related metabolic and respiratory disorders. Dr. Tavee brings nearly 20 years of experience with her having served most recently as the Medical Director of the Neuromuscular Division at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She has a special interest in neurosarcoidosis as well as peripheral neuropathy. Dr. Tavee will see adult patients with neuromuscular disorders on the National Jewish Health main campus.
 

Dr. Tavee received her medical degree at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine. She completed her residency in neurology and her neuromuscular fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic where she was Chief Resident. Following post-graduate training, Dr. Tavee served as a neurologist and Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy. She was then at the Cleveland Clinic as a staff neurologist and neuromuscular fellowship director before joining the clinical staff at Northwestern University. She is currently involved in research studies evaluating treatments for neuropathy and the effects of integrative holistic therapies on chronic neurologic diseases and has numerous peer-reviewed articles.
