This year we have included key areas in neurology including topics in secondary stroke prevention and stroke management cases; dementia management and look-alikes; MS treatment, particularly what’s new about the disease and the growing list of medication options; epilepsy management cases and status epilepticus management; evaluation and treatment of back pain and will present the Cleveland Clinic Care Path for back pain management. They will review what’s new and what’s approved in headache management, as well as a discussion of trigeminal autonomic cephalgia and other primary headache disorders. Back also will be interesting movement disorders cases, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-oncology, CNS infections and the always enjoyable Neuroradiology case potpourri.
In addition this year we have added lectures on ICU pearls, concussion screening, diagnosis and management, as well as the hot topic chronic traumatic encephalopathy. We have added talks on ALS, peripheral neuropathy, Restless Legs Syndrome (now called Willis-Ekbom disease), and autoimmune encephalitis. We have added a lecture on integrating wellness into neurology practice. New this year will be two presentations on challenging cases (when it’s not MS and when it’s not migraine). Also new this year in the movement disorders section will be an audience discussion of treating Parkinson’s disease, so feel free to bring cases along for review.
