Jill Langer MD

Jill Eve Langer, MD, is Ultrasound Section Chief and Professor of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania with a secondary appointment in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes. She co-directs the Thyroid Nodule Clinic at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Langer has served on the AIUM Collaborative Committee to establish Thyroid and Parathyroid Ultrasound Practice Guidelines, the ACR Thyroid Incidental Findings Committee, and the ACR TIRADS Steering Committee. She is a co-author of the Society of Radiology Consensus Statement on Thyroid FNA (published in 2005) and the ACR Thyroid Imaging, Reporting and Data System (TI-RADS) published in 2016. She has authored several articles and chapters on thyroid and female pelvic imaging and most recently has published a text entitled, Advanced Thyroid and Parathyroid Ultrasound (Springer, 2017).
