Dr. Simon Hans-Uwe - MD, Ph.D., Professor, Director of the Institute of Pharmacology, University of Bern. Head of the Laboratory "Molecular Immunology" of the Scientific and Clinical Centre for Precision and Regenerative Medicine of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology at Kazan Federal University.

Prof. Dr. Hans-Uwe Simonwas born in Eisenach 1958th After studying medicine at the University of Jena, he was a postdoctoral fellow in immunology at the University of Toronto hospitals, the Mount Sinai Hospital, and Toronto General Hospital. Later he moved to the University of Zurich, where he worked as a project manager and later as deputy director of the Swiss Institute of Allergy and Asthma Research. The second doctorate was awarded to Prof. Simon in 2001 for his research at the University of Jerusalem. Since 2000, Prof. Simon is a professor at the University of Bern and director of the Institute of Pharmacology. Since 2012 he has also served as Vice-Dean of Research at the Medical School. Prof. Simon was appointed for the coming academic year as a visiting professor at the University of Rome. He is a member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences.
