Dipti Itchhaporia, M.D., F.A.C.C. is the medical director of disease management for the Jeffrey M. Carlton Heart and Vascular Institute, a position she has held since 2001. As medical director of disease management, Dr. Itchhaporia leads the congestive heart failure management program and the anticoagulation clinic at the Jeffrey M. Carlton Heart and Vascular Institute, which is Orange County’s highest volume, highest-rated cardiovascular program and one of the preeminent cardiovascular centers on the West Coast. She joined the medical staff at Hoag Hospital and also established her private practice specializing in diagnostic and interventional cardiology in 1996.

Dr. Itchhaporia received her medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine and continued to complete her residency in internal medicine at Stanford University Medical Center. Subsequently, she joined the General Medicine Faculty at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) as assistant clinical professor and then went on to do a cardiology fellowship at Georgetown University and an interventional cardiology fellowship at Stanford University. She is board certified in cardiology, interventional cardiology, and nuclear cardiology.
