David Tanaka MD, FACP

David Tanaka MD, FACP has worked for the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine for the past 25 years. The majority of his time is spent as a general internist, primary care physician in the clinic and the University of Colorado Hospital. Almost daily interaction with medical students and medical residents provides the opportunity to teach and learn.

Dr. Tanaka’s interests reflect the breadth of knowledge necessary to care for my patients. He has given recent lectures on asthma, lung cancer screening, the evaluation of the dizzy patient, abdominal pain, the periodic physical exam, chronic cough, deep venous thrombosis, hypertension, neck pain, and back pain.
