64th Fall Family Medicine Review is organized by University of Colorado Denver and would be held during Oct 30 - Nov 3, 2017 at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Aurora, Colorado, United States Of America.
The 64th Fall Family Medicine Review provides 5 days of continuing medical education on recent developments in patient management for Primary Care Physicians, Physician Assistants, Advanced Practice Nurses, Residents and AHPs. The educational offerings will enhance patient assessment and outcomes by utilizing didactic lectures, case presentations, skills labs and Q&A sessions. The Family Medicine Review is presented by expert faculty members of the University of Colorado School of Medicine in a format of morning lectures and afternoon interactive workshops. The purpose of the Family Medicine Review is to improve knowledge, skills, competence, performance and patient outcomes.
Learning Objectives:
As a result of this activity attendees will be able to:
• Implement best practices regarding the recognition and management of patients with mental health disorders.
• Develop new strategies for using the electronic medical record in order to improve provider and patient satisfaction.
• Develop a management plan for patients with concussions.
• Formulate a management strategy for patients with opioid use and abuse disorders.
• Describe the characteristics of patients with Alzheimer's disease/dementia.
