David L. Pierce MD, FACEP

Dr. Pierce obtained a Bachelor of Science in biology from the State University of New York at Fredonia. He began his medical training at the University of Guadalajara before completing his degree at New York Medical College. Following graduation from medical school he continued his residency training at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

After residency, Dr. Pierce accepted a position at UB as an academic faculty member and shortly thereafter assumed the role of Medical Student Clerkship Director. Over his six-year tenure as the director he established workshops, developed a cadaveric procedure lab, and a formal student mentorship program. During this time he fostered a passion for education. He has since served on both local and national medical governance committees and still an active lecturer.
