Dr. Daria Motamedi, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology in the Musculoskeletal Imaging Section and Director of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco. In 2006, Dr. Motamedi received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He completed a one-year Transitional Medicine internship at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2007 and a four-year Diagnostic Radiology residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California in 2011, followed by a Musculoskeletal Imaging fellowship with Dr. Donald Resnick at the University of California, San Diego in 2012. In August of 2013, Dr. Motamedi joined the Musculoskeletal Imaging faculty as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at UCSF.

Areas of particular interest to Dr. Motamedi include sports medicine and sports imaging, minimally invasive therapeutic techniques, developing novel MRI techniques, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He is a member of the Society of Skeletal Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American College of Radiology, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Dr. Motamedi has written 13 book chapters and published 8 peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Motamedi is a member of the UCSF Post Graduate Education Committee and lectures internationally on topics related to musculoskeletal imaging, and in particular, sports medicine imaging and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
