OVERVIEW
Imaging in Bermuda is organized by University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and would be held during Jul 2 - 7, 2017 at Fairmont Southampton, Southampton, Southampton, Bermuda. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 26.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Outline :
This course is a broad and diverse review of crosssectional imaging of the body, and will focus on abdominal, thoracic, musculoskeletal and neuro imaing utilizing CT, MDCT, MR and Ultrasound in core areas that are of importance to both the general and the subspecialty radiologist. The course will review established clinical applications and protocols, as well as newer, emerging techniques including PET, MSK US and Prostate MRI.
Lectures will focus on practical tips & pointers and recognition of potential pitfalls that will aid the radiologist in the accurate interpretation of images in the daily clinical setting. The applications of the ACR Appropriateness Criteria on management of findings will be discussed as appropriate.
Course Objectives :
At the completion of this course, the attendee should be able to :
• Confidently diagnose manifestations of renal cancer recurrence with imaging.
• Describe a practical approach to managing pulmonary nodules.
• Identify causes of acute pelvic pain at CT and Ultrasound.
• Describe the role of cross-sectional imaging in the evaluation of neck infections.
• Differentiate benign vs. malignant kidney masses at CT/MR.
• Understand the role of MRI in the evaluation of shoulder instability.
