Clifford A. Hudis, MD, FACP, is Chief of the Breast Cancer Medicine Service and an attending physician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and a professor in the Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. In addition to being ASCO’s Immediate Past President, Dr. Hudis currently serves on the Special Awards Selection, Finance, and CancerLinQ Advisory Committees. His research interests include all areas of care related to breast cancer, with a focus on the development of novel systemic therapies.

An ASCO member since 1991, Dr. Hudis has served as the Society’s Treasurer and on the Board of Directors. He has served on the Bylaws, Strategic Planning, Scientific Program, and Best of ASCO Planning Committees, among others. He has served as Co-Chair of the Breast Cancer Symposium Program Committee, Chair of the Integrated Technology Committee, and as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Clinical Oncology.

Dr. Hudis has been an active member of the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology (formerly Cancer and Leukemia Group B), serving as Chair of the Finance Committee, Co-Chair of the Breast Committee, and on the Board of Trustees. He has served on the Steering Committee of the Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium, on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Breast Disease, and as Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, among other leadership activities.
