Cleveland Breast Cancer Summit : Collaborating for a Cure 2016 is organized by Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Medical Education and would be held during Mar 17 - 18, 2016 at InterContinental Hotel and Conference Center - Cleveland, OH.
The target audience for this medical event basically for practicing physicians and other practicing allied health care professionals in medicine, surgery, plastic surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology and genetics. This CME conference has been approved with 14.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

The Cleveland Clinic Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program presents the 2016 Cleveland Breast Cancer Summit: Collaborating For A Cure, a live educational multi-disciplinary summit focusing on up-to-date reviews of advances in management strategies for patients with breast cancer and comorbidities.

Learning Objectives
Through this educational offering, the Cleveland Clinic strives to produce significant knowledge gains in health care practitioners regarding breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, knowledge that will, in turn, improve the quality of care for their patients. After this course you will be able to:

• Demonstrate surgical techniques for endoscopic assisted nipple sparing mastectomy, oncoplastic reduction lumpectomy and flap reconstruction, intercostal blocks, and immediate implant reconstruction
• Discuss viewpoints from multiple medical disciplines regarding appropriate screening, diagnosis, prevention, counseling, and treatment strategies in women at high risk for breast cancer
• Summarize new and emerging imaging modalities, contralateral prophylactic mastectomy, plastic surgery for lymphedema, chemotherapies in development, and partial breast irradiation
• Discuss controversies in breast cancer management, including neoadjuvant vs adjuvant chemotherapy, immunotherapy, reconstruction and postmastectomy radiation; and targeted therapies such as estrogen receptor positive and HER 2 positive
• Examine options for management of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) in terms of imaging, pathologic assessment, risk stratification for recurrence, breast reconstruction, radiation therapy, and hormonal therapy • Identify the role of genetic testing in management of breast cancer
• Identify new strategies in breast cancer research and provide update on vaccine for breast cancer
• Review cases demonstrating the multidisciplinary approach to patient care by a panel of experts from each of the areas (Imaging, Medical Oncology, Breast/Plastic Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Pathology, etc).
