Christopher Maroules, MD is a co-founder and serves as Chief Operating Officer for IHS. He is a cardiothoracic radiologist for Radiology Associates of South Florida and has helped develop advanced cardiac imaging programs at military hospitals throughout the United States. Dr. Maroules serves on the Board of Directors for the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) and has co-authored numerous guidelines for coronary CT angiography. He also serves on the ACR Appropriateness Criteria Committee for Cardiac Imaging and directs a successful Level II cardiac CT training course.

Dr. Maroules attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, graduating with honors and Distinction in Research. Following a medical tour with the United States Navy, he returned to Dallas to complete residency and a cardiothoracic imaging fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. While in training, Dr. Maroules became recognized for his contributions to the Dallas Heart Study, one of the largest population-based cardiac research studies. He received several awards from the ACR, ACC, and RSNA, including funding to develop new MRI sequences for evaluating blood flow in the lungs and heart. Dr. Maroules is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and is Level III-trained in both cardiac CT and MRI.
