Carla Renee Lamb MD

Dr. Carla Lamb is Director of Interventional Pulmonary Medicine and Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship program at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts. With her primary areas of interest being in a simulation, education, and training of thoracic procedures, Dr. Lamb has served in many leadership roles at CHEST. Dr. Lamb receives this honor for her contributions in the field of interventional pulmonary medicine and is the first woman to be given this honor.

Over the past 15 years, she has helped develop tools for an endobronchial ultrasound and other thoracic procedures as well as cost-effective educational simulation models for training of complex airway diseases that are being utilized in training programs today. For the past 7 years, Dr. Lamb has been designated as a Top Doctor in Boston and in 2017 was named one of the Best Doctors in America.
