Dr. Avraham Z. Cooper, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine, and serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Cooper holds clinical and academic leadership roles, including Program Director of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Ohio State, where he directs advanced training for future specialists. He completed his medical education at Harvard Medical School, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Ohio State.

Dr. Cooper is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. He is known for his clinical expertise in the management of obstructive lung diseases (including asthma and COPD) and complex respiratory illnesses, both in the outpatient pulmonary clinic and intensive care unit. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Cooper is an active educator, author, and communicator in medical education.
