Ever heard of bone forming inside blood vessels? Even if you haven’t heard it expressed in those exact words, you most likely have come across the concept of vascular calcification. And in certain instances, fully formed bone is precisely the endpoint of calcium deposition in vessels.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Curious Clinicians and VCU Health Continuing Education. VCU Health Continuing Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
VCU Health Continuing Education designates this enduring material activity for a maximum of 0.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
