Dr. Kalava is the founder and the medical director of TampaPainMD. He is a Double Board Certified, Mayo Clinic Acute Pain & Regional Anesthesia Fellowship trained Anesthesiologist. After his fellowship, he has been exclusively practicing in Tampa. He has clinical privileges at Tampa General Hospital & Memorial Hospital of Tampa. Dr. Kalava sees patients from Tampa and beyond. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, European Society of Regional Anesthesia & Pain Therapy, & American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. Dr. Kalava performs ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and teaches anesthesiologists and pain physicians from around the world how to advance their skills and provide better care to their patients using an ultrasound.
