Advanced Pain Medicine Ultrasound CME Workshop is organized by PainExam and will be held on May 14, 2022 at Nova Southeastern University - Tampa Bay Regional Campus, Clearwater, Florida, United States of America.

Target Audience:
Pain Physicians, Anesthesiologists and any Clinician who performs interventional pain.

Course Description:
This 1 day intensive regional anesthesia and chronic pain workshop has been developed for both novices and advanced pain physician providers who would like to either learn the basics or further advance their skills in ultrasound guided pain procedures. Participants will have hours of hands on ultrasound scanning on live models of different body habitus to learn and identify different sono-anatomy.

A pre-course reading material will be provided to minimize didactic portion of the workshop. At the end of the workshop, you will be expected to have gained thorough knowledge and immense confidence in the use of ultrasound for pain procedures

Learning Objectives:
As a result of participating in this activity, the learner will be able to:
• Describe and discuss the basic principles of ultrasound
• Identify normal sono-anatomy and aberrations
• Describe nerve blocks and procedures for various pain conditions
• Increase the ability to detect critical structures and improve patient safety while performing pain prOcedures
• Demonstrate needle insertion techniques for ultrasound guided nerve blocks, both in plane and out-of-plane
• Improve block success rate and patient satisfaction
• Perform spinal | epidural and large joint imaging with ultrasound
