Dr. Andrew J. Kaufman specializes in Mohs Micrographic & Dermatologic Surgery and is Director of The Center for Dermatology Care with offices in Thousand Oaks & Santa Barbara, California,
Dr. Kaufman received his medical degree at the University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and became board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He also completed a Dermatology residency at the University of California at Los Angeles. He is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology and is one of a small group of specialists with board certification in two specialties.
Dr. Kaufman was Clinical Associate Professors of Medicine (Dermatology) at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA until July 2014, and currently is Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at Keck School of Medicine of USC. He is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and was elected to the Board of Directors of that prestigious organization. Dr. Kaufman was also nominated and elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, an honor reserved for physicians dedicated to ongoing individual service and contributions to the practice of medicine.
