Southern Academy of Periodontology (SAP)

Since their formation in 1920, the Southern Academy has played an integral part in the progression of their specialty. Representing the ten states of the Southeast, they are considered to be one of the premier periodontal regional societies in the country. Their leaders carry a strong voice within the American Academy of Periodontology. The society plays an important role in the continuing evolution of the practice of periodontics.
