Community hematology/oncology practices play a critical role to expand patient access to hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and improve patient outcomes.

This self-guided online training course series consists of five courses designed to present the current state of the science for Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (HCT) by following the evolution of HCT over time. The series is broken down into major misperceptions or myths about HCT and cellular therapy that are not supported by current research and clinical practice.

This is Part 4 in a 5-part series, examining major barriers to HCT and ways to overcome them.

Educational Objectives:
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

• Implement strategies to overcome concerns about barriers to HCT and how to address them.
• Discuss psychosocial barriers and access challenges in HCT.
• Examine trends in racial and ethnic disparities in HCT.
• Describe referral trends and biases in HCT that can limit access to care.
