Precision in Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML): Advancing the Testing-to-Treatment Continuum for FLT3-Mutated Disease

Precision in AML: Advancing the Testing-to-Treatment Continuum for FLT3-Mutated Disease is a targeted, CME/CE-accredited educational initiative designed to improve clinical competence in the management of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). This program addresses critical and persistent practice gaps identified in current AML care, including delays and inconsistencies in FLT3 mutation testing, uncertainty in treatment sequencing and resistance management, and variability in adverse event (AE) and drug–drug interaction (DDI) monitoring.

The core educational component will be delivered through a 15-minute expert-led interview format by Dr. Amer Zeidan, Professor of Medicine at Yale University and Chief of the Hematologic Malignancies Division at Yale Cancer Center, designed to provide practical, evidence-based insights into timely molecular testing, integration of FLT3 inhibitors with chemotherapy, venetoclax, and transplant strategies, and proactive safety management. The program emphasizes real-world clinical decision-making and multidisciplinary collaboration to improve treatment continuity and patient outcomes.

Educational impact will be assessed through pre- and post-activity evaluations to measure improvements in knowledge, competence, and clinical confidence.

By addressing key barriers in testing workflows, therapeutic sequencing, and safety monitoring, this program aims to enhance guideline adherence, optimize treatment strategies, and ultimately improve outcomes for patients with FLT3-mutated AML.
