Overview
This presentation will address why neonatal point-of-care ultrasound should become the standard of care and give tools on how to build a neonatal point-of-care ultrasound program.

  • Outline the evolution of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) in neonatal intensive care units.
  • Describe applications of POCUS in critically ill neonates.
  • Discuss the tools for building a neonatal POCUS program.
  • Recognize the difference between a POCUS program and a Neonatal Hemodynamics Program [targeted neonatal echocardiography (TnECHO)].
