#7182 Using Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography & Electrodiagnosis in Differential Diagnosis is organized by MotivationsCEU.
Description:
Successful management of the orthopedic problems is dependent on detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Recognition of signs and symptoms and the use of the diagnostic tests like electromyography, nerve conduction studies and ultrasound imaging can significantly impact the clinical decision making and guide the management of the patient.
Electromyography and nerve conduction studies are useful to localize the lesion and understand the prognosis. Ultrasound imaging is rapidly growing and popular point-of-care assessment tool which has its application in understanding structural perspective and can provide insight into abnormalities of soft tissue structures. This presentation will highlight the role of electromyography, nerve conduction studies and ultrasonography and how to integrate this knowledge to inform the clinical decision. Information about billing of ultrasonography and electrodiagnostic studies will be discussed. (Introductory level)
