Dr. Mohini Rawat, DPT, MS, ECS, OCS, RMSK, FAIUM, is a nationally recognized clinician, educator, and leader in the fields of musculoskeletal ultrasound, electrodiagnostics, and neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation. With decades of experience integrating advanced diagnostic imaging with personalized patient care, Dr. Rawat is known for her ability to bridge complex clinical findings with meaningful, patient-centered treatment strategies.

As co-founder and president of the American Academy of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, Dr. Rawat has trained and mentored hundreds of clinicians across the country. She has reviewed thousands of ultrasound studies and is widely respected for her expertise in diagnostic and rehabilitative ultrasound imaging, peripheral nerve assessment, movement analysis, and clinical electrophysiology.

Dr. Rawat serves as Chair of the Neuromusculoskeletal Ultrasound Special Interest Group within the Academy of Clinical Electrophysiology & Wound Management and has held leadership roles within the American Physical Therapy Association. She is a frequently invited speaker at national and international conferences and has contributed extensively to the advancement of musculoskeletal ultrasound education through lectures, publications, webinars, and professional training programs. She is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical Electrophysiology & Wound Management (JCEWM). She is also the editor of the Atlas of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound of the Extremities and has authored additional books, book chapters, and peer-reviewed research articles.

As a Fellow of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (FAIUM), Dr. Rawat is recognized for her significant contributions to the advancement of ultrasound education, clinical practice, and professional leadership within the field.

Her clinical philosophy is rooted in precision, collaboration, and individualized care. Dr. Rawat combines advanced diagnostic expertise with a comprehensive understanding of movement, biomechanics, pain science, and rehabilitation to help patients better understand their condition and make informed decisions about their care. She is particularly valued by both patients and healthcare providers for her thoughtful clinical reasoning, attention to detail, and ability to evaluate complex or unresolved musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions.

Dr. Rawat earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions and her Master’s degree in Biokinesiology from the University of Southern California. Her work continues to focus on advancing the integration of imaging, electrophysiology, and rehabilitation to improve patient outcomes and elevate standards of clinical care.
