The overwhelming majority of psychotropic medications are prescribed in the primary care setting. The presentation reviews a series of case studies from the primary care setting with subtle indicators of the correct diagnosis which will best direct pharmacotherapy.
Learning Objectives:
After taking part in this educational activity, participants should be better able to:
- Differentiate among commonly diagnosed behavioral disorders in children and adolescents.
- Compare and contrast pharmacologic options for commonly encountered behavioral disorders.
- Develop safe, effective pharmacologic plans of care for the disorders presented.
