Topics Covered:
With 100 pediatric cardiac POCUS cases that you can repeat 5 times, participants will be explosed to the full spectrum of normal/normal variant soft tissue presentations. The goal is to master the diagnosis of pediatric soft tissue POCUS images. Since this is an active learning experience with an evidence-based model of learning, you can expect significant knowledge gains after just one hour of practice. 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Master accurate diagnosis of abnormal imaging findings such as pericardial fluid, poor cardiac function, and anatomic abnormalities.
  2. Recognize normal imaging findings to avoid a false positive diagnosis of pathology.
  3. Achieve the mastery standard for a practising physician.

This enduring activity is accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPS) for Section 3 credits, the College of Family Physicians Canada (CFPC) for MainPro+ credits, and the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) for MOC Part II credits. 7 RCPS Section 3 hours are equivalent to 21 RCPS Section 3 credits, 7 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits, 7 CFPC MainPro+ credits, 7 AAFP credits, and 21 ABP Level II MOC credits.
