Description:
The purpose of this course is to provide healthcare professionals with a synopsis of falls, fall assessments, and safety with the use of assistive devices in all arenas of health care.

Objectives:
• Identify at-risk patients
• List the six domains of healthcare quality
• Differentiate the levels of risk identified in the Morse Fall Scale
• Recognize the ten items assessed on the Oasis form of a home health assessment
• Identify five types of assistive devices
• Describe safe use of three assistive devices
• Identify five assistive tools for the blind or visually impaired patient
• Identify three common assistive tools for the hearing impaired patient
