? The 2020 Rourke Baby Record: What’s new:
The Rourke Baby Record (RBR) is Canada’s standard for well-baby and child preventive care of birth to 5 years. The 2020 edition includes evidence-informed current recommendations in the areas of growth and development, nutrition, injury prevention, behavioral issues, oral health, physical examination, and immunization.

? The neurobiology of touch and its role in trauma and therapy
Touch is one of the five senses and is necessary in the extension of neuropathways that control self-regulation. Trauma interrupts these pathways and impacts behaviors, therefore, changing the course of affect regulation and emotional communication. As pediatricians communicate with children and families that have been hit by adversity/trauma it is important to understand the often overlooked but the important biologic process and clinical tool that is touch.
