Course Description & Information:
• This course reviews current popular dietary supplements used to enhance exercise performance and reviews the research on each. Participants learn the science behind the products being used and whether they are recommended or not.

Course Objectives:
• Discuss the dietary supplement regulations in the United States.
• Review the scientific research on popular supplements used to enhance exercise performance.
• Discuss the role dietary protein and protein supplements in muscle synthesis and exercise performance.
• State current position on the use of antioxidants in athletes.
• Identify the benefits and/or risk of fatty acid supplementation in sports.

Certificate Requirements:
• Full attendance.
• Completion of course post-test (70%) and evaluation.
