Description:
This eModule course is designed to offer insight into the 2014 ACC/AHA Guidelines for the Management of Patients with Non-ST-Elevation – Acute Coronary Syndrome (NSTE-ACS). 
• Module 1: This module covers an overview of NSTE-ACS, the diagnosis of, and risk stratification for NSTE, and immediate management of NSTE-ACS
• Module 2: This module covers evidence-based medical therapies and invasive therapies for NSTE-ACS patients
• Module 3: This module covers providing effective late hospital care and implementing risk reduction strategies for NSTE-ACS patients
• Module 4: This module covers handling special patient groups, and quality of NSTE-ACS care

Objectives: 
At the completion of this online course, the learner will be able to: 
• Explain the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and clinical presentation of NSTE-ACS
• Describe diagnostic dilemmas of NSTE-ACS.
• Explain the role of biomarkers in prognosis.
• Describe risk predictors and risk stratification models of NSTE-ACS.
• Describe AHA/ACC recommendations based on the Classification of Recommendations (COR) and Level of Evidence (LOE) parameters.
• Identify the immediate management of Non-ST Elevation Acute Coronary Syndromes (NSTE ACS).
• Apply the evidence-based medical therapy for patients with NSTE ACS.
• Identify patients with NSTE ACS who are appropriate candidates for invasive therapy.
• Identify the appropriate strategies for late hospital care and effective hospital discharge after NSTE ACS.
• Define secondary prevention strategies for patients with NSTE ACS.
• Identify the issues pertinent to special patient populations with NSTE ACS.
• Define the appropriate treatment strategy for the special patient groups based on the AHA/ACC guidelines.
