Mechanisms and Effectiveness of Obesity Medications is organized by Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) and will be held during Aug 26, 2015 - Aug 15, 2018. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Description :
In Mechanisms and Effectiveness of Obesity Medications, Dr. Bessesen will review the current guidelines for treatment of obesity, as well as describe the mechanisms of action, effectiveness, and side effects of currently available FDA approved anti-obesity medications. He will also review the factors to consider when tailoring weight-loss pharmacotherapy to the unique needs of each patient.
Conference Objectives are:
• Describe the mechanisms of action, the effectiveness, and side effects of currently available FDA approved anti-obesity medications.
• Review the current guidelines for treatment of obesity and describe an approach to selecting patients for treatment with weight-loss medications.
• Understand the factors to consider in tailoring weight-loss pharmacotherapy to the unique needs of each patient.
