Description:
This course provides learners with best practices for management of diabetes in the elderly population by leveraging oral agents to maintain glycemic control in this patient population.

Objectives:
• Recognize the importance of determining glycemic goals due to the catastrophic consequences in the elderly population.
• Appropriately select and use oral agents in the treatment of elderly patients with diabetes.
• Determine when and how to start insulin therapy in elderly populations with diabetes.
