Course Description:
International travel has become a way of life for many people. Education, counseling, and proper immunization are the best ways to ensure a safe and healthy trip, and to prevent international spread of disease. Taking precautions before, during, and after travel can minimize many of these risks. Healthcare providers in all types of outpatient settings are in key positions to help patients assess risk associated with travel and ensure their health abroad. This course will educate healthcare professionals about the disease risks abroad and prevention methods.

The goal of this continuing education program is to enhance healthcare providers’ and health educators’ ability to advise patients who are planning international travel. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
