The target audience for this medical event is Physician Anesthesiologists, Anesthesiologist Assistants, All members of the Anesthesia Care Team, Post-Operative Recovery Room Nurses/Critical Care Nurses, Ambulatory and or Care Team Members, and Perioperative pharmacists. Identify at least 2 evidence-based monitoring strategies to determine neuromuscular blockade and recovery.
• Name at least 4 factors that can affect recovery from neuromuscular blockade.
• Identify the mechanisms of action associated with emerging pharmacologic agents relating to reversal of neuromuscular blockade.
• Appropriately select agents that facilitate recovery from neuromuscular blockade, based on both patient- and agent-specific factors.
• Select reversal agents and doses to safely and effectively facilitate recovery of neuromuscular function.
