Exercise Therapy in Disease Management is organized by CE International and will be held on Feb 25, 2019.

Who Should Attend:
Pharmacists, Dietitians, Nursing professionals, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy professionals, and other medical professionals.

Course Credit: 2 Contact Hours.

Course Description & Information:
• Exercise has been shown to play a pivotal role in the treatment/prevention of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, arthritis and other medical conditions. This course reviews the research on exercise in disease prevention/treatment and the appropriate exercise recommendations based on age and health status.

Course Objectives:
• Identify the role of exercise in the regulation of glucose and insulin to treat and/or prevent prediabetes and diabetes (type 2).
• Identify the role of exercise in cardiovascular disease, diabetes, arthritis and other medical conditions.
• Compare exercise therapy to conventional drug therapy on risk reduction in metabolic disorders.

Certificate Requirements:
• Full attendance.
• Completion of course post-test (70%) and evaluation.
