Description:
This CaseCare360 activity follows the diagnostic and treatment journey of Morris, a 6-year-old boy with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). In this 4-visit case-based activity, faculty emphasize the importance of comanagement between primary care and gastroenterology to ensure timely diagnosis and delivery of evidence-based care. Through Morris' story, participants will be better equipped with strategies to optimize outcomes for pediatric patients with EoE.
Learning Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Recognize symptom presentations that raise clinical suspicion for EoE.
- Refer pediatric patients with suspected EoE to appropriate specialists for diagnostic evaluation.
- Integrate current evidence-based therapies into treatment plans for patients with EoE.
- Incorporate multidisciplinary approaches and shared decision-making to enhance the management of patients with EoE.
